Lila is counting Alice Jr. as her first production! For this role, she worked really hard practicing a tricky dance move and is definitely pulling it off. She likes UASP's Comic Book Club, going ice skating, skiing, swimming, playing with birds and her cats (but probably not all at the same time). "Thank you Ms. Sarah -- she did the whole thing to help us!"

Maya had so much fun in last year's UASP Newsies Jr., she's back for more in Alice Jr.! She's learning that it's important how actors move across the stage, for example, after songs, you should end up on the side of the stage you need to be on next. Off stage, Maya likes to draw, ice skate, and play outside. "Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

Lily
Returning for her second UASP production, Quinn brings her athletic ability to the stage, learning how to do convincing stage falls! Off stage, Quinn plays lacrosse, field hockey, swims and does hip hop. She loves that at UASP they get to do lots of fun things like the musical, playing outside, art projects, and hanging out with friends. "Thank you, Ms. Sarah and all the UASP staff!"

Doorknob / Flower of the Golden Afternoon
Mia made her acting debut in last year's Newsies Jr. One trick she's picked up is to learn the lines of people before and after you, so you don’t get mixed up with your lines. Outside of school, Mia likes to play with her dolls, slime, and draw. "Thank you to my friends and Ms. Sarah for helping me learn lines and supporting me."

Noah was backstage for Newsies Jr. and is out front ON stage for Alice Jr.! He's learned that it's important to keep trying even if you mess up -- this is good advice when he's playing soccer, Minecraft, or hanging out with friends, too! "Thank you, Ms. Sarah for teaching me dance moves"

Foster likes baseball, Minecraft and playing with Lego. The best part of UASP according to Foster is playing with his friends!

Usher
Magnus likes to play soccer, ice hockey, computer games and drawing. According to Magnus, the best part of UASP is hanging out with friends. "Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

Violet
Orla is no stranger to the stage -- she's often training for ballet recitals in Boston! Playing her favorite role to date, one thing Orla learned about acting this year is how to be SO loud. "Thank you to Ms. Sarah and my mom!"

ESME ARROW FLANAGAN, 4th Grade
Small Alice
Of the many roles Esme's had so far, Small Alice is her favorite because it gave her the chance to work with more of her friends. Learning the names of the sections of stage will come in handy in all her future roles as well! When she's not on stage. Esme likes to play hockey, ride horses, do gymnastics, travel, and bake. "I would like to thank Ms. Sarah, all my friends that I act with in the show and my mom."

This is Catherine's third UASP musical production! She's excited to show off some of the cool dance moves she learned while preparing for her role. The thing she likes best about UASP is all the awesome field trips she gets to go on! "Thank you to my family, Ms. Sarah and my friends."

King of Hearts
This is Vyas' second show with UASP. One thing he learned about acting while preparing for his role is that he can do anything! Vyas is an avid soccer player, snuggler of Dolly Parton (his dog), and loves being with his family. He'd like to thank his sister for helping him get ready for Alice Jr.

Grace's favorite role so far was Ethel of the Bowery Brigade in Newsies Jr. While preparing for Alice Jr. Grace got to practice choreography and learned a lot about how it all works! She LOVES being part of the musical every year along with her friends! The teachers are awesome too! Off stage, Grace likes to hang out with friends, ride bikes, and swim. Emily's favorite role so far was Seitz in Newsies Jr. and this year she's liked learning awesome new dance moves for Alice Jr.! She loves the fun field trips she gets to go on with UASP and when she’s not on stage, Emily likes drawing, gaming with friends, and swimming. “Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

After last year's Newsies Jr., Veronica was ready for more lines and excited to PROJECT! This year she learned to enunciate and make sure everyone can hear what her character has to say. ELEANOR STELLA, 4th Grade
Daisy
Eleanor plays hockey, lacrosse and soccer, loves to hang out and play with friends, and loves doing arts and crafts and singing and dancing! She's adding acting to her list of accomplishments with her stage debut in Alice Jr.! "I would like to thank Ms.Sarah and all of my castmates. I would also like to thank my family."

Jane liked playing Dorothy in Newsies Jr. so much, she's back for more in Alice Jr.! This year she learned about the importance of practice. Off stage, Jane likes to read and camp. "Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

Alexa began her acting career in last year's Newsies Jr. and had a lot of fun! This year she learned to make sure to not only ACT like her character but to actually BE her character --and always remember to be confident. Off stage Alexa likes to read, dance, bake and hang with friends and family. "I would like to thank my parents for listening to me practicing all my songs and watching my choregrapghy. And my sister for helping me run through my lines, and of course Ms.Sarah for helping me have the confidence I need."

No stranger to performing, Sophia has wowed audiences with her talents in Matilda Jr. and Newsies Jr. This year she's having a blast enjoying her 5th grade privileges at UASP and learning how to work together sharing a role with two other people. "I would like to thank my Mom & Dad, my friends, Helen & Marlo, Miss Sarah, and all the after school teachers that helped us learn choreography and lines."

Margot's back on stage to dazzle audiences and to sing in her third UASP production! Her prior roles in Newsies Jr. and Matilda Jr. prepared her for the spotlight, and this year she learned that it's important to get out of the way when someone is saying their line so that the audience can see who is talking. She loves the UASP field trips, especially Adventure Club, and would like to thank Ms. Sarah for helping her with her song and lines.

Scarlett returns to the UASP stage as Charlotte's twin! When she's not synchronizing lines and choreography with her pal, she likes to draw, play violin, dance ballet and perform Chinese dance. "Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

Charlotte returns to the UASP stage as Scarlett's twin! When she's not synchronizing lines and choreography with her pal, she likes to practice contortion, hang out with friends, travel, learn French, watch dance moms, and play sports. Something she learned while getting ready for Alice Jr. is to not be afraid to shine! 'If someone thinks you sound bad that’s their problem--they're missing out on an amazing voice." "I would like to thank Ms. Sarah; she choreographed everything and is so supportive. Thank You Ms. Sarah!"

Marlo's played a Jailer and Matilda's Magic and returns to UASP's stage as a Cheshire Cat. She's learned how important it is to communicate with cast mates on and off stage to be successful. Marlo loves UASP's field trips -- especially Adventure Club! Off stage, Marlo likes to draw, sing and play with friends, and practice Karate. "I would like to thank My Mom for helping me find the right outfit and helping me out with my lines, and my Dad for also helping me practice my lines. I would like to also thank Ms. Sarah for helping this whole Alice In Wonderland Production! I would like to finish up with my friends helping me out with Alice In Wonderland. Thank you so much!"

Marshall captained last year's production of Newsies Jr. playing Jack Kelly. Returning to the UASP stage for this year's Alice in Wonderland Jr., Marshall learned more technical aspects of singing and mastered the step-ball-change dance move! He loves to sail during the summer in Maine and also plays basketball, baseball, and soccer. "I would like to thank Ms. Sarah and my parents for helping me become a better actor. "

Avery had a blast leading a gang of Newsies as Spot Conlin in last year's UASP production and this year she puts her performance skills to work as Alice! Returning to the UASP stage in her third production, Helen remembers her favorite role as Hannah in Newsies Jr. because it was cool that she was a working woman during that time! For Alice in Wonderland Jr., Helen learned that it's harder to memorize all the lines than she thought it would be. Off stage, Helen likes to swim, draw, read, make friendship bracelets and karate. She would like to thank Ms Sarah and all the other afterschool teachers that help with the play.

LAUREL SOUZA, 5th Grade
March Hare
This is Laurel's second show with UASP! Preparing for a musical is a lot of work (and a lot of fun!) and this year Laurel learned that it's important to always look out at the audience when she's on stage. When she's not performing, Laurel likes to sketch, read and play soccer. She loves the field trips at UASP! "Thank you, Ms. Sarah!"

Man of many talents, Miles' favorite role so far was a Delancy Brother in Newsies Jr because he got to act with an accent! This year, Miles learned that it takes a lot of work to act, practice, AND help his ensemble -- but it's worth it! His favorite thing about UASP is winning The Games and getting to see all the cool merch. "I would you like to thank Ms. Sarah for helping me get ready for Alice in Wonderland, Jr!!! Cora is thrilled to be back at UASP in her new role as Light & Sound Operator! Since graduating UASP, she's acted in Newsies and Fiddler on the Roof Jr (Watertown Children's Theater's) and The Lightning Thief, Artist's Retreat, and Freaky Friday (Bigelow Middle School). "I'd like to thank Miss Sarah for letting me come back to the drama program that I love so much! And my family for everything."

Gabi is a proud UASP alum, excited to be part of Alice in Wonderland Jr.! Gabi acted in UASP's very first production, Annie Jr. and since graduating UASP, has gained lots of experience as a crew member with Bigelow Middle School's productions of Charlotte's Web, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, and Freaky Friday.

MISS SARAH MORIN
Director & Choreographer
Miss Sarah is the Director of Programming at UASP and has been working at Underwood since 2018. Miss Sarah loves introducing kids to the magic of live theater and has directed for kids and teens. Favorite credits include: Annie Jr, Matilda Jr, Newsies Jr (UASP) Godspell, The Addams Family Musical (Wachusett Theater Company) and High School Musical (Greater Boston Stage Company). Miss Sarah also loves to act and has been in a few regional productions including: Titanish, The Winter Wonderettes, and The Play That Goes Wrong(Greater Boston Stage Company) and the Hound of the Baskervilles (Central Square Theater). Miss Sarah would like to thank her amazing students for their hard work and dedication in making the 4th Annual UASP musical an absolute WONDER. Next up: Legally Blonde with the teen company of Greater Boston Stage Company this summer!
